We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as Global Health Portfolio Manager in Mozambique.

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing our health programs in Mozambique, working closely with our country team to develop strategic plans and ensure effective project implementation. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing long-term strategies and thematic orientations for the country program
- Managing project cycles, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and log-frame development
- Proactively reviewing and supporting the management and coordination of humanitarian and security activities
- Oversight and coordination of key projects, including supervision and tracking of yearly plan execution
- Developing proposals for new projects and identifying funding opportunities in collaboration with the country team
- Actively managing relationships and communications with key donors and partner organizations
- Human resource management, financial management, and program administration in cooperation with the SolidarMed Finances & Services team
- Contribution to national and international networking events and participation in relevant conferences as a representative of SolidarMed
About You:
Required Skills and QualificationsWe are looking for a passionate and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in health programme management and humanitarian aid. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Masters-level degree or higher in a health-related or development-related field
- Proven competencies in health/public health and humanitarian/development issues in low-resource settings
- Experience in implementing projects/programs in fragile and humanitarian contexts
- At least four years hands-on project management experience in South-eastern Africa
- Strong leadership skills and a proven track record in supporting teams to efficiently deliver on short- and long-term deliverables
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills; ability to work in a dynamic environment, meet deadlines, and manage multiple demands
- Experience and competencies in reviewing and writing convincing technical proposals and project reports for institutional donors and institutional knowledge management
- Fluency in English and conversant in German
- Cognizant in Portuguese, or competencies in either Spanish, Italian, or French, with the willingness to quickly learn Portuguese
- Suitable for Switzerland or EU National (or an existing, valid work permit for Switzerland)
