Sommelier Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sommelier to join our team at Kulm Group. As a key member of our luxury hospitality team, you will be responsible for creating and managing our wine lists, organizing and maintaining our wine cellar, and providing exceptional wine pairing recommendations to our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Wine List Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to create wine lists that complement our menus and provide exceptional wine pairing experiences for our guests.
- Wine Cellar Management: Oversee the organization and maintenance of our wine cellar, ensuring optimal storage conditions and inventory management.
- Wine Pairing and Consultation: Provide expert wine pairing recommendations to our guests, including events, banquets, and in-restaurant dining.
- Procurement and Inventory: Work closely with our F&B and purchasing teams to source high-quality wines and manage inventory levels.
- Hygiene and Safety: Ensure adherence to strict hygiene regulations and standards in the wine cellar and throughout our operations.
- Continuous Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest wine trends, techniques, and industry developments to maintain our high standards.
- Education and Experience: Completed restaurant or hotel management training, further education as a sommelier, or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in high-class gastronomy.
- Wine Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of wine and spirits, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods.
- Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with our culinary, F&B, and purchasing teams.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German, English, and Italian, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
