Chef de Partie

Viking, a leading small ship travel company, invites experienced hospitality professionals to join their galley team as a Chef de Partie.
This role involves independently running a main section in the galley, reviewing recipes, and controlling the service line during meals. The successful candidate will report to the Sous Chef and be part of a multi-cultural team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Control and maintain the Main Galley section's food production and ensure adherence to recipes and dish guidelines
- Identify training needs, suggest operational improvements to the Galley team, and assist with cleaning during food preparation periods
- Prepare daily electronic food requisitions, maintain recipe folders, and countercheck deliveries to ensure accuracy
- Lead and support a team, enforce specific job responsibilities, and provide inspiring leadership
- Ensure that food preparations and storage are in line with all public health policies and Company Regulations
Requirements:
- 8+ years' experience as Chef de Partie or similar at a 5-Star hospitality and/or restaurant environment; shipboard experience is an advantage
- Physically fit and in good health; must be able to meet moderate physical demands
- Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance, and impeccable hygiene standards
