Role Overview

The Chef de Partie is a key member of our Galley team on our River vessels, responsible for preparing meals to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Reporting to the Executive Chef and Sous-Chef, this role requires a high level of culinary expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve daily meals for crew and guests, adhering to menu cycles and Executive Chef guidelines.
  • Order and manage stock in collaboration with the Executive Chef, ensuring accurate handling of products and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working area, adhering to HACCP rules and company standards.
  • Conduct stock takes and inventory, establishing par levels and participating in loading processes.
  • Assist in opening and closing ships at the start and end of the season, and participate in onboard training programs.
  • Perform luggage duty on embarkation and disembarkation days, and provide support to other departments as required.

About You

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the hotel/catering industry or restaurants.
  • International experience or ship experience is an advantage.
  • Good command of English; fluency in other languages is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize guest satisfaction, and maintain a positive attitude.
