Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and create new business opportunities in the LNG sector, aligning with MET Group's strategy and goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with mid to long-term counterparties, ensuring a strong understanding of supply and demand dynamics in the gas and LNG market.
  • Screen potential counterparties for mid to long-term sales and purchases, ensuring long-lasting relationships and a competitive edge in the market.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with LNG trading and portfolio management.
  • Support the LNG trading and portfolio teams in making offers or bids in the mid and long-term for the region, including participation in tenders.
  • Progress counterparties in a timely manner internally and externally, ensuring documentation exchange and contract execution.
  • Act as contract manager for executed contracts, ensuring adherence to MET Group's policies and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Several years of relevant experience in LNG-related business development or origination.
  • Proven track record in identifying and creating new business opportunities within the LNG sector.
  • Strong understanding of mid to long-term supply and demand dynamics in the gas and LNG sector.
  • Skilled in screening potential counterparties and ensuring long-lasting relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and manage risks.
  • Established professional network in the Turkish, Middle East, and African region.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business fluency in English and additional language relevant to the region covered.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field.
