We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Intern to join our New Ventures team at Georg Fischer Rohrleitungssysteme AG. Key Responsibilities
- Support our Venture Architects in identifying and validating new business opportunities, including market research, competitor analysis, and industry trends.
- Evaluate new market opportunities and provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions.
- Conduct customer and internal interviews to gain a deeper understanding of market potential and customer needs.
- Drive working packages in the area of market trend identification and monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop holistic new business concepts, including value propositions, target customers, and revenue models.
- Apply customer-centric design and innovation methods to identify and validate new ideas and resolve critical uncertainties.
- Closely collaborate with Sustainability, Business Development, Digital Business, Product Management, Operations, Sales, and other R&D groups.
- Assist with general organizational and administrative tasks within the New Ventures team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Innovation, Strategy, International Management, Industrial Engineering, Digital Transformation, or a related field.
- Strong interest in business modeling and innovation.
- Knowledge of innovation methodologies, such as Design Thinking or agile, and/or previous work experience in innovation agencies, startups, or corporate innovation.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Good social and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (oral and written), plus any other European language.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams across the globe.
- Self-driven, well-organized, and curious mindset, with a willingness to think beyond the status quo.
- Flexibility to travel internationally.
- Work permit for Switzerland and/or EU.
- Work schedule: 80%-100%.
