Senior Medical Director Oncology Clinical Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Director to lead our Oncology Clinical Development team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing clinical development programs that drive innovation and excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the design and implementation of clinical development programs, ensuring alignment with AbbVie's overall product development plan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute clinical strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and AbbVie's quality standards.
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to support the development of clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and clinical study reports.
- Oversee the work of Medical and/or Scientific Directors and Clinical Scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful program execution.
- Participate in Clinical Strategy Team(s) to develop and implement clinical development plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree with relevant therapeutic specialty in an academic or hospital environment.
- At least 5 years of clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or equivalent.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to bring out the best in others on a cross-functional global team.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical trial methodology, regulatory and compliance requirements governing clinical trials, and experience in development of clinical strategy and the design of study protocols.
