Senior Medical Director Oncology Clinical Development Lead

AbbVie seeks a skilled Senior Medical Director Oncology Clinical Development to lead our clinical research programs in oncology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing clinical development strategies that align with our overall product development plan.
- Lead Clinical Study Teams: You will oversee project-related education of investigators, study site personnel, and AbbVie study staff, ensuring overall study integrity and timely completion.
- Monitor Study Integrity: You will review, interpret, and communicate accumulating data pertaining to safety and efficacy of our molecules, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies.
- Design and Analyze Clinical Studies: You will be responsible for the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of scientific content of protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study reports, regulatory submissions, and responses.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Commercial, and other functions to ensure alignment with our global scientific and business strategy.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Developments: You will stay up-to-date with professional information and technology through conferences, medical literature, and other available training, augmenting your expertise in the therapeutic area.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practices, pharmacovigilance standards, standard operating procedures, and all other quality standards in conducting research.
- Medical Degree: You must hold a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree, or its equivalent, with relevant therapeutic specialty in an academic or hospital environment.
- Clinical Trial Experience: You must have at least 5 years of clinical trial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, academia, or equivalent.
- Leadership Skills: You must possess proven leadership skills, ability to bring out the best in others on a cross-functional global team, and lead through influence.
- Communication Skills: You must have excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: You must be able to exercise judgment and address complex problems, creating solutions for one or more projects.
