Senior Risk Management Director

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Senior Risk Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our Risk Management department, you will be responsible for promoting risk minimization strategy and execution through the development and application of a structured, iterative, end-to-end lifecycle risk management framework.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement risk minimization measures to support product development programs, new marketing applications, and marketed products.
- Collaborate with Product Safety Teams and Affiliates to advise on risk minimization measures and tools.
- Lead the development of the core implementation strategy and effectiveness evaluation plan.
- Select and manage vendors to develop additional risk minimization tools when needed.
- Ensure user testing of risk minimization materials in collaboration with the Office of Health Literacy.
- Support affiliate inspection and audits with respect to additional risk minimization measures.
- Assess and recommend industry-leading approaches to best implement additional risk minimization measures.
- Health professional degree (MD, PharmD, RPh, RN or related degree) or master's degree in life sciences or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in patient safety risk management or related experience for pharma or a regulatory agency.
- Trained or experienced in implementation science, program evaluation, methodological approaches, or outcomes research.
- Knowledge of risk management regulations, guidelines or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in global drug safety risk management planning activities and generating RMPs.
- Ability to lead teams and projects across a wide variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strength in analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strength in oral/written communication.
- Excellent mentoring, interpersonal communication (oral, written), negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving in a complex environment.
