Senior Embedded Electronics Development Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Electronics Development Engineer to join our team at Georg Fischer Rohrleitungssysteme AG. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the development of our Process Automation devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specify, design, build, and test electronics for transmitters, sensors, and actuators
  • Lead the electronics development efforts and establish a modular hardware system architecture
  • Bring in new solutions and technologies to enhance our products
  • Support the team with functional prototypes and documentation
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and provide guidance on quality audits
Requirements
  • A higher degree or similar in an electronic-related area
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded hardware development, standards, approvals & design patterns
  • Basic technical project management skills and experience in communication with external service providers
  • Experience in designing PCBs with Altium or a similar tool
  • Experience in EMC-compliant and high-speed PCB design
  • Basic knowledge of communication hardware and protocols, e.g. Ethernet and/or Bluetooth
  • Experience in a C programming language is a plus
  • English and German language skills on a professional level
  • Willingness to travel on an occasional basis
  • A valid work permit for Switzerland or at least an EU citizenship
