As a media representative and communications expert, you will play a pivotal role in Axpo's corporate newsroom, overseeing communications within the nuclear energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to Axpo's corporate newsroom, ensuring effective and uniform communication across all platforms in collaboration with your team.
  • Assume the position of editor-in-chief on assigned days, orchestrating the communication efforts of the entire Axpo Group.
  • Collaborate with a colleague to manage the nuclear energy sector, maintaining ongoing communication with specialists in the division and the Beznau nuclear power plant, ensuring comprehensive internal and external communications (including media relations, editorial services, and issues management).
  • Serve as the media representative for nuclear energy, assisting colleagues during public engagements.
  • Facilitate successful and transparent communication for the Beznau nuclear power plant, regularly interacting with authorities and stakeholders in the vicinity.
  • Advocate for Axpo's communication interests in various associations and committees, significantly influencing the communication landscape of the nuclear energy sector in Switzerland.
  • Oversee content for the internal communication platform of the Beznau nuclear power plant and coordinate Townhall meetings.
Qualifications & Profile:
  • You possess a strong interest in the intricacies of energy supply and are eager to convey the technology and significance of nuclear energy to a wider audience.
  • You hold a degree in communications or journalism (or a related field) and have experience in journalism or corporate communications, preferably within the energy sector or critical infrastructure.
  • Your native language is German, and you have a high proficiency in English.
  • You excel in delivering clear and concise messages while simplifying complex subjects.
  • You have a commanding presence in front of audiences, microphones, and cameras.
  • You are capable of managing significant communication projects, demonstrating resilience and assertiveness.
