Media Relations Specialist

Axpo Group is seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Specialist to join its corporate communications team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring a professional and consistent communication strategy across all channels.
Key Responsibilities- Form part of the corporate news team, guaranteeing a professional and coherent communication strategy through all channels.
- Assume the role of news editor in the corporate news center on designated days, coordinating communication activities for the entire Axpo Group.
- Manage the nuclear energy sector with a colleague, maintaining constant contact with division specialists and the Beznau nuclear power plant, ensuring internal and external communication (including media relations, editorial services, problem management).
- Act as a media spokesperson for the nuclear energy sector, supporting colleagues in their public appearances.
- Ensure successful and transparent communication for the Beznau nuclear power plant, maintaining regular contact with authorities and stakeholders in the region.
- Represent Axpo Group's communication interests in associations and committees, significantly influencing communication in the nuclear energy sector in Switzerland.
- Manage content for the Beznau nuclear power plant's internal communication platform and organize Townhall meetings.
- Possess a passion for the complexities of energy offerings and be willing to communicate technology and the importance of nuclear energy to a wider audience.
- Hold a degree in communication or journalism (or similar) and experience in journalism or corporate communication, preferably in the energy or critical infrastructure sector.
- Speak German as a native language and be highly competent in English.
- Excel at delivering clear and concise messages and simplifying complex topics.
- Have a strong presence in front of audiences, microphones, and cameras.
- Be capable of assuming responsibility for large communication projects, resilient, and assertive.
