About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Data & AI Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Zurich. As a key player in our growth organization, you will be responsible for executing our go-to-market strategy and driving new business acquisition.

Your primary objective will be to help customers unlock the full potential of data and AI technologies by facilitating customer engagement throughout the entire lifecycle – from prospecting to negotiations and contract signing.

You will work closely with our delivery organization to onboard new clients, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive new business acquisition and quota-carrying sales performance
  • Develop a deep understanding of client challenges and needs related to data and AI
  • Oversight of customer acquisition from lead generation to deal signature
  • Contribute to broader business development through conference participation, community engagement, workshops, and events
  • Help clients leverage data and AI technology advancements by identifying their needs and translating them into value-added solutions
Requirements
  • Proven track record in IT consulting/services business development with at least 5+ years of experience
  • Experience in new business acquisition, preferably in the IT consulting/services space
  • Strong domain knowledge in data, analytics, machine learning, AI, and cloud
  • Self-motivated, can-do attitude, fast learner, and ability to handle challenges as they arise
  • Technical background preferred
  • Highly organized and independent individual
  • Mandatory fluency in English and German
  • Excellent communication skills, dynamic, and motivated to represent Unit8 externally
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, mainly within Switzerland and the DACH region
