Executive Finance Director for Luxury Hotel

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Director of Finance to join our Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a world-class hotel located in the heart of the Old Town, with breathtaking views of Lake Zurich.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the financial health and stability of our hotel, overseeing all financial operations, and implementing effective controls to maintain high standards of accounting and reporting. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with the Director of Finance to develop and implement strategic financial plans, forecasts, and budgets that align with business objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for various departments, monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Accounting and Financial Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English and German, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
