Project Lead, Clean Air, World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

The Alliance for Clean Air brings together leading businesses to commit to measure and reduce value chain air pollutant emissions, invest in innovation, and champion the social, economic and climate benefits of tackling air pollution.

The Alliance is embedded into the accelerating climate action for net zero pillar within the Centre for Nature and Climate. It is steered by the pillar three-pronged approach to:
Raise ambition - Activate leaders to advocate, influence and champion high-ambition climate commitments and action. Catalyze transformation - Work with partners to scale impact focused initiatives to turn climate ambition into action and implement the transformational changes needed at the intersection of industries, finance, policy, and innovation. Enable mobilization - Provide a platform to engage the many agents of change, innovators and changemakers to build momentum and public support, and scale innovative solutions across all of society.

As the first global private sector initiative to tackle air pollution, the vision is the Alliance for Clean air to be a catalyst for private sector efforts to improve air quality across their value chains, embed action on air pollution into climate change mitigation strategies and move towards a tipping point where health is firmly at the heart of climate action.
