**Job Overview**
Due to significant growth SHL is developing new teams to support and drive continued success. The Global Commercial Analytics Department was recently established and is being developed as a Center of Excellence within the Commercial Organization. As a Commercial Offer Manager, your primary focus will be to support the Commercial Organization to develop and otherwise optimize commercial offers, including performing economic valuations, and supporting business case development activities.
In this role you should expect to get involved in the details (directly and/or as a collaborative partner with our Analytics specialists located at our manufacturing sites) to understand the underlying factors in order to present data-driven insights, influence decision-making related to current and prospective customers, existing and future business models, and new product innovation & development.

- Be comfortable moving forward to accomplish tasks in the face of uncertainty and ambiguity
**The primary responsibilities for this role include the following**:
- Develop, refine, and otherwise evaluate SHL’s commercial product offerings (pricing models) to maximize SHL’s long-term value; including unit pricing/fee models, and pricing terms for multi-year contracts
- Actively collaborate with, and empower, the Commercial Organization during deal negotiations. You accomplish this by bringing financial/economic insights, ideas for negotiation tactics, and by being a thoughtful sparring partner during customer discussion planning (prep) sessions
- Be prepared to attend/support customer negotiations if identified as strategically beneficial
- Bring financial expertise to evaluate and provide strategic guidance for structuring commercial offers to optimize internally driven opportunities. You might expect to engage with Account Mangers, Product Managers, Design Engineers, and Operations staff to support the development of business cases (bringing storylines and numbers together), identifying operational approaches and the inherent (embedded) economics to provide recommendations, and/or develop proposals for the related business model
- Actively collaborate with other SHL partners/teams on projects aimed toward developing and/or refining ways of working, including Commercial Excellence partners, Finance/Accounting, Manufacturing/Operations, Supply Chain, Innovations and Product Development, and others
- Collaborate with Commercial Analytics Team Members (and other key departments) on tactical data-oriented projects aimed toward optimization of the department’s data extraction and transformation approaches, dashboard and report development, and the financial model template library (toolbox)
- Other opportunities to support SHL’s growth and development may be available as new projects are identified
**Skills and Qualification**:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience developing commercial offers for complex/technical products in a B2B context is required. Related experience in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industries is strongly preferred
- Education in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, or related field. Masters/advanced degree, or equivalent experience, required
- Capable of designing and developing complex, dynamic financial models and dashboards in Excel to support decision-making. Experience doing this (or obvious indications of being able to accomplish this) in a manufacturing context is required
- Able to translate various types of quantitative and qualitative data to identify logical connections in order to develop cost-logic-driver formulas to support multi-period forecasting.
