Cement Business Manager responsible for ABB Process Industries’ Cement business, in terms of commercial (sales and marketing) activities and portfolio management, including research & development oversight.
**This position reports to**:
Marketing & Sales Manager
**Your responsibilities**:
- Strategy: Implements the portfolio and commercial strategy and ensures business development, including profit and loss (P&L).
- Performance targets: Ensures development of performance targets in line with global targets and ensures achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
- Market opportunities: Evaluates market opportunities and decides appropriate activities in line with the strategy.
- Continuously develops and manages the products, solutions, systems and/or service portfolio to achieve and secure market leadership.
- Commercial: Ensures the integrated commercial success of the organization to drive business growth and market share, enabling the organization to achieve its short, mid, and long-term performance and growth objectives within the assigned geographical scope.
- Profitability: Ensures profitable business growth in the allocated market.
- Quality: Oversees production and/or execution of high-quality products, services and processes.
- Monitors quality metrics, identifies opportunities for improvement in local execution, and oversees improvement activities.
- Project execution: Ensures the execution of projects according to agreed targets in terms of schedule, quality, financial results and customer satisfaction.
- Research & development: Oversees relevant local Research and Development initiatives.
- Customer relations: Builds and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
- People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
- Local business lines with cement focus to report into this position.
**Your background**:
- 10+ years experience in global roles, managing global teams, and driving results
- P&L experience
- Proven track record in the cement industry
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Availability to travel internationally as required
