Apellis Germany GmbH is based in Munich and responsible for the DACH region, where we are entering an exciting time with our first ever expected product launch in ophthalmology. Apellis will be introducing a first-in-class and first-to-market treatment option in eye care for geographic atrophy, a condition with a high unmet medical need and leading cause of blindness around the world. Currently no treatment is available for geographic atrophy. The Brand Manager AT/CH will work closely together with DACH Commercial team and international Marketing. She/he will take care about implementation and full alignment of initiatives to guarantee successful launch of the first and only targeted C3 therapy for geographic atrophy in the Ophthalmology space. Position Summary:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact for patients living with geographic atrophy and the company, supporting the team in its first commercial launch and their first commercial launch in the ophthalmology space.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:
The Brand Manager Switzerland & Austria will be responsible for:

- Developing strategic and tactical plans to achieve marketing objectives, including brand planning and strategy development
- Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration in alignment with DACH and international marketing
- Analyze customer insights, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Evaluating the effectiveness of promotion and advertising programs and suggesting improvements
- Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
- Help develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and customer communications, including print, digital, and video assets
- Conceptualize and execute on multichannel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels
- Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points
- Plan, coordinate and participate in events
- Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
- Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams

**EDUCATION, REGISTRATION & CERTIFICATION**:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or related field
- 3-5 years of work experience, preferably with pharmaceutical products
- Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical development process and health care environment, as well as thorough understanding of marketing business processes
- Established contacts with agencies in AT and CH (creative, media, etc.)

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES**:

- Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in **German and French **is a must have
- Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
- Understanding of healthcare system, markets and stakeholders, and competitive dynamics
- Proficiency with online marketing and social media strategy
- Familiarity with latest trends and best practices in the pharmaceutical field
- Project management and prioritization skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete projects within budget
- Willingness to travel (Europe)
