General Description:
We are looking for a Senior Finance Professional to join our European finance team. This is a key position for an experienced, ambitious finance professional who is motivated to contribute to setting up the finance function as BeiGene builds out its presence in Europe and in New Markets across the globe. The position will deal with a broad range of activities supporting the buildout of the Concur and the Travel & Expense (“T&E”) management process across currently more than 25 legal entities under our responsibility. The incumbent must bring strong T&E knowledge within a regional context combined with a strong knowledge of the Concur platform and integration to SAP, as well as solid experience managing a company corporate credit card program. The incumbent must take the lead to deal with strategic and process enhancements as well as a hands-on approach to resolving technical tasks, ensuring accurate and timely control and monitoring of the regional T&E process. Effective communication and cultural sensitivity are required to coordinate the activities with the support of Concur team, SAP technical team, company credit card provider and other stakeholders. As a valuable resource to the organization the incumbent is pro-active and brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a non-structured environment.

Essential Functions of the job:

- Leading the implementation of the Concur system throughout the region, including configuring settings to align with organizational policies, procedures and local requirements
- Managing the ongoing maintenance and support of the Concur system, including troubleshooting issues and overseeing upgrades and enhancements
- Lead the European rollout of the company credit card program ensuring localization needs are met
- Monitor credit limit utilization by card and work with credit card provider to adjust limits where applicable
- With the support of the SAP and Concur teams, ensure the interface between the credit card provider and Concur is appropriately setup
- Collaborate with Accounting team to ensure the appropriate mapping of spend items in Concur to the correct general ledger chart of accounts
- Work with Compliance team, SAP and Concur teams to configure Concur appropriately to ensure Health Care Practitioner spend is properly tracked
- Develop the reconciliation process between credit card monthly statements and Concur claims, ensuring proper timely monitoring and escalations of unsubmitted Concur claims - develop with Accounting Team the process to ensure balances in the general ledger relating to T&E are appropriately stated and reconciled
- Identify any required month end T&E accruals and communicate them to the Accounting Team for booking
- Develop appropriate Management reporting to monitor travel expense claim status across the region, KPIs, and T&E spend
- Develop a process and cadence to conduct audits of T&E claims ensuring alignment with the Global Travel Policy
- Work with Tax team to optimize the process of claiming VAT input credits on T&E spend, where applicable
- Collaborate with Workplace Services and Human resources, where appropriate, to update Masterdata tables for mileage allowances and other specific local expenses, like daily allowances as well as updating spend limits by category
- Establish a T&E communication and training process for onboarding of new employees
- Keep updated with all changes ongoing in the BeiGene organization as well as general industry trends, and provide appropriate guidance to Business and other stakeholders on T&E processes and best practices

Reports To: Senior Director Accounting Europe and New Markets

Education Required: Accounting/Business/Finance Bachelor’s Degree

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Supervise initially 1 Concur Specialist

Computer Skills: Concur, SAP S/4 Hana, Workday, MS Office

Other Qualifications: Accounting/Business/Finance Bachelor degree with minimum 8 years of experience in a multinational finance environment. Strong knowledge and experience with Concur and system implementation experience required. Desire to work in a fast paced, changing (currently unstructured) environment, excellent communication skills combined with cultural sensitivity, excellent spoken/written English - any other languages a plus

Travel: 10-15% approximately
