ABB Headquarters in Zurich-Oerlikon is seeking a well-organized, independent and experienced assistant / paralegal with an attention to detail who is flexible, proactive and amicable to support the Legal M&A Team as well as Corporate legal work. We are seeking a legal assistant who can contribute to tasks and ad hoc projects which require some paralegal knowledge and project management skills with a positive team spirit and a can-do attitude. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who may have some exposure to the workings of a corporate legal function, but who would like to develop further in the direction of paralegal work. While it is a hybrid working model, it is required to spend approx 3 days in the office per week.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Assist with tasks required in connection with execution of agreements for M&A transactions and other corporate legal work, including signing process, notarization, legalization, issuance of powers-of attorney, resolutions, etc
- Liaise with notaries and other authorities
- Coordinate office services with other teams in the organization.
- Maintain database and filing systems
- Supervise archiving. Lead small projects on an ad hoc basis and diverse in nature
- Organize internal and external meetings / events incl. preparation of documentation
- Assist M&A Controlling team with requests around invoicing and payment process
- Perform other administrative tasks as required (organize travel, visas, expenses etc)
- Promote and live collaborative team spirit.
- Team contact person for clients and management

**Your background**:

- Minimum 7 years working as an assistant in a global corporate environment and able to work comfortably in a truly international setting
- Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, with an understanding of basic legal/corporate principles and the work of a corporate legal department
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and be a good point of contact with external counterparts. Demonstrably organized and structured
- Ability to anticipate and react effectively to the unexpected. Establish tasks, delegate and reprioritize rapidly with resilience in a highly disruptive environment
- Able to handle small projects, work under pressure and handle multiple inputs simultaneously.
- Highest standard of integrity and discretion. Trustworthy with unquestionable confidentiality.
- Work well with people across several teams and be sensitive to concerns of various cultures
- Operate effectively and productively and perform tasks with a high level of professionalism
- Fluency in English and German is required
