**Purpose**:Lead a high performing sales team with a winning mindset, capable of driving exceptional results in Switzerland. The National Sales Manager is accountable to accelerate volume growth through the sales team (F2F & Digital channels) and to coach in an inclusive way. The National Sales Manager has responsibility for delivering across the gastroenterology and neurology therapeutic areas. Additionally, the National Sales Manager will represent the field function within the Biomedicines brand teams as someone who leads and develops the selling model in an inclusive and innovative way.

- Meets with team and customers (virtually if needed) to better understand the marketplace

- Develops insights from data in decision making (e.g. quarterly metric review and action)
- Connects cross-functionally, as the voice of the customers, to ensure strong customer understanding, exceptional implementation and sales and marketing alignment
- Identifies and executes ways to standardize and streamline delivery of key data and / or capabilities.

**Deliver Results**
- Operates with high integrity, complies with Lilly policies and procedures, external legal and compliance requirements, and coaches sales teams to act with integrity
- Leverages and drives targeting, incentives and strong action planning and accountability to further drive volume growth in Switzerland.
- Implements the sales plan, monitors execution and results, and adapts when needed to exceed business objectives
- Drives customer relationships (live & virtually) and brings input on competitive landscape
- Analyzes customer trends through regular reviews and sets clear expectations to develop and share insights from data and customer knowledge
- Supports the cross-functional work, identifies opportunities to grow and deliver business results
- Cultivates an internal and external network to solve problems and adjust to marketplace.

**KEY COMPETENCIES**

**Qualifications**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Economics or Marketing, as well as a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

**Skills & Attributes**:

- At least 1-2 years of experience in sales leadership, coaching and developing people
- Experience in gastroenterology
- Strong track record of high performance with high integrity
- Proven ability to execute marketing and to conceptualize, plan, lead sales plans
- Proven ability to work with and build consensus amongst a wide range of partners, including internal and external partners
- Demonstrated ability to show leadership skills in challenging situations
- Strong interpersonal skills, humble yet inspires respect and trust
- Very good organizational skills and can work under tight timelines
- Willingness to adapt to and embrace constant change and to learn from new situations
- Team player working in diverse multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment, pro-active with respect to informing and consulting with other stakeholders

- Fluent in German and French with a good command of the other language as well as English, Italian a plus.
