**Reporting to VP Business VP BD & Strategic Partnerships**
**Job Profile**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Mapping and profiling of potential Pharma partners
- Engage with the Pharma and biotech community to represent Alentis Business development strategic initiatives to build relationships
- Serving as the primary point of contact with the external partner throughout the deal process
- Manage the data room and timely execution of due diligences
- Support the R&D organization to establish research collaborations with external parties incl. MTA process
- Serve as PoC for grants management and academic collaborations
- Support the team in in-licensing new technologies if required
- Developing and recommending deal structures and financial terms, and leading negotiations of term sheets and contracts with potential partners in collaboration with the deal team
- Plan coverage of medical and partnering conferences for BD meetings with targeted companies
- Work together with the communication head and internal stakeholders in consolidating slide decks for partnering and investor discussions
- Build and maintain a strong external network and presence within the life science community
- Analyze the competitive landscape, market, and investment trends to formulate business cases
- Lead vendors for asset valuation and assess the commercial component in a BD deal
- Develop insights based on analysis of unmet needs, market research, market access/pricing/value creation, and understanding of stakeholders
- Support the CEO if required for fundraising activities

**Qualification**:

- PhD in life sciences, medicine, or equivalent combination of scientific and business education/experience
- A minimum of 10 years of working experience in Pharma or Biotech is a must
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development in Pharma/Biotech or in a venture capital setting or in a top-tier strategy consulting firm with a record of accomplishment in leading transactions and partnering are mandatory
- Proven experience in the business development value chain, from first Pharma interaction to due diligence process and deal negotiation
- Strong network withing the Pharma and Biotech environment
- Experience in forecasting, and commercial role as a plus
- Experience in oncology, fibrosis, inflammation, and immunology would be an asset
- Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams, drive data-driven business decisions, and manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Energetic, results-driven self-starter with a strong executive presence, collaborative mindset, and ability to think strategically and analytically
- Demonstrated understanding of drug discovery, development and commercialization processes
- Leadership skills and stakeholder management
- Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues or junior associates in their professional development
- Superb oral and written communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
- Skillful presenter of scientific and business information to executives
- Able to travel as needed for medical and partnering meetings
