Manager Analytical Development and Quality Control

Hobson Prior are seeking for a Manager Analytical Development and Quality Control to join a brilliant biotech establishment on a contract basis. Our client is focused on finding, developing and commercialising novel remedies to help as many people as possible.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will handle a team of up to 3.
- Accountable for a project portfolio of up to 4 small projects normally up to phase 2, or at least 1-2 highly multifaceted or late-stage projects normally phase 3 and commercial.
- Coordinate laboratory actions.
- Evaluate, comprehend and document analytical data which involves outcomes from method development, release, retest, validation, stability and transfer.
- You will handle review and development of innovative analytical technique and instrumentation.
- Guarantee initial and consistent training of the personnel of AD/QC and adaptation rendering to business requirements.
- Any other assigned duties.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to a degree level in a chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, biology or chemical engineering discipline with at least 12+ years of experience with a BS degree, 9+ years with a MS degree, or 2+ years with a PhD experience within a pharmaceutical organisation.
- Know-how of the GMP/regulatory needs.
- A background in analytical chemistry.
- Capable of handling professionals efficiently in a matrix system.
- Willing to travel for business needs.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Knowledge in synthetic chemistry, drug substance processing and/or formulation development, pharmaceutical processing with a deep comprehension of pharmaceutical sciences linked to drug substance or product development.
- Familiarity with the development and performance of analytical tests for different drug substances and products.
