**Position overview**

Our portfolio of pulmonary arterial hypertension PAH treatments covers the spectrum of disease, with oral, inhaled and intravenous medications.

We are currently in search of an Associate Director of Statistics - Real World Evidence (RWE) to join our growing team, which supports research in the Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) therapeutic area. Applicants with knowledge and experience of RWE that do not meet the criteria are also invited to apply, and the position may be filled at a lower level.

Representing statistics in cross-functional study teams and clinical sub teams, you will provide lead support for the design, execution, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data evidence for late development programs. You will Identify and assist in the implementation of innovative statistical approaches. With collaborative leadership you will provide input to program plans.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**:

- Shares knowledge and provides input across all SDS support (Pre/Early/Late Development, Research & Discovery, Medical Affairs, Real World Evidence, and Manufacturing Sciences) for all Disease/Functional Areas
- Identifies opportunities for innovation, participates in program reviews/discussions
- Represents SDS on cross-functional & intra-departmental teams
- Works with external consultants to provide support in the development & implementation of innovative methods & designs
- Collaborates in talent identification, hiring and development for the group

**Qualifications**
- Ph.D. in Statistics or related field with minimum 6 years relevant experience for the associate director position, or Master’s in Statistics or related field with commensurate years of relevant experience
- Proficient in SAS or R programming
- Highly effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary contexts outside statistics
- Experience in regulatory activities (e.g. submissions, interactions with Health Authorities) is advantageous
- Has an advanced understanding of drug development processes and programs
