**Director of Flex Resource Management MA**
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a **Director of Flex Resource Management MA **to be located in the US (Horsham, PA; La Jolla, CA; Raritan, NJ; Spring House, PA; Titusville, NJ), Europe (Basel, CH; Beerse BE; High Wycombe, UK; Cork, IE; Leiden, NL), or Asia (China, Japan Singapore).
The **Director of Flex Resource Management MA **is responsible for establishing, executing and maintaining the overall MA DU Flex Resource Management strategy, in line with MA DU needs. Working in close collaboration with global MA DU functional leadership, J&J R&D Procurement and External Alliance Management they are responsible for defining and implementing the sourcing framework across suppliers, ensuring quality and timeliness of functional deliverables.
This role is responsible to consolidate resource needs across TAs and lead the resource meeting for the MA DU Leadership Team. The Head of Flex Resource Management is the single source for capacity drivers, named allocation, full bench actuals, synthesized by a monthly cadence of actionable insights to MA DU leadership team.
The Head of Flex Resource Management is responsible for the development and reporting of MA DU Flex and Headcount Resourcing metrics, using metrics driven insights to identify and inform continuous improvement efforts.
In addition, position is responsible for managing the onboarding and escalation process within MA DU for Flex resources.
The role is also responsible for the management of all Flex resources across the TAs to meet current and future business needs.
Reporting into the Head of Trial Management, this position ensures the execution of the MA DU mission and vision, as related to functional outsourcing, process and metrics.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Determining the MA DU Flex Resource Management strategy, together with the Head of Trial Management and the MA DU leadership team. Oversees that the appropriate outsourcing strategy is applied. Works with cross functional partners to gain efficiencies where applicable. Leads the resource discussion with MA DU Leadership team.
- Overseeing strategy and supplier refresh initiatives and ensures continuous improvement of sourcing processes is implemented. Identifies and implements innovative approaches together with our partners and vendors to enhance MA DU productivity and effectiveness.
- Being responsible for ensuring portfolio review activities are occurring, and that these activities lead to actionable forecasts across all suppliers.
- Participating in issue escalation activities, ensuring systemic issues are resolved in a manner that avoids reoccurrence.
- Taking a leadership role in developing resourcing and cost models with MA DU’s strategic partners and functional vendors.
- Working cross functionally in the development and reporting of metrics to provide business intelligence to the MA DU LT.
- Developing and reports on MA DU level metrics. Works with the MA DU LT to translate metrics into actionable efficiencies.
- Managing the recruiting efforts for new Flexible Resources
- Ensuring J&J supply systems are maintained (JJEDS, 1-Supply)
- Ensuring working environment and infrastructure is adequate to meet departmental needs

- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred (MS., MBA)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership function in clinical operations with expert knowledge in Flex Resource Management or equivalent industry experience.
- Excellent people leadership skills. People management experience of 5-7+ years is strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of project management.
- Demonstrated track record of working with and overseeing vendors.
- A good understanding of clinical development
- Good knowledge of regulatory guidance documents such as ICH requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including effective negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to build relationships, act as change agent, and adapt to rapidly changing organizational & business challenges.
- Demonstrated experience working in a customer focused environment.
