Position Summary

At Jet Aviation, we don’t just operate – we are driving for excellence in everything we do. For our procurement team in Basel, we are looking for a passionate and results-driven Operational Purchaser ensuring our operations run seamlessly, contributing to the excellent service and quality we are known for worldwide.

Your mission

  1. Process Purchase Orders: Efficiently manage and process purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and timely.
  2. Source with Precision: Identify and procure the materials that meet our high standards.
  3. Master SAP Data: Maintain and update purchasing data in SAP, including delivery dates, discounts, prices, and order acknowledgments.
  4. Engage with Excellence: Foster strong, daily interactions with internal stakeholders and our trusted suppliers and engage in price and lead time negotiations when necessary.
  5. Handle with Care: Administer all aspects of purchase orders, including invoice control, addressing blocked shipments, and conducting market searches.
  6. Resolve and Refine: Review purchase order claims, address defects, and negotiate refunds to maintain operational excellence.

Your profile

  1. A solid foundation with relevant vocational training or technical apprenticeship, coupled with several years of equivalent work experience.
  2. Exceptional communication skills in both written and spoken English.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
  4. Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a flexible, collaborative team player who can inspire and influence.
  5. Customer-centric personality who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Results-driven individual who executes with high personal accountability.
  7. Readiness to work up to 5 Saturdays and/or Sundays per year.
