In this role you will work closely with the head of tax and the tax directors on both strategic and operational transfer pricing matters. The focus will be to ensure that the group’s transfer pricing policies are (1) consistent with business reality and legislation, (2) sustainable, (3) properly implemented, (4) documented, and (5) defended in tax audits or through APAs. Also, the position will be working closely with the business on all transfer pricing related matters.

Key responsibilities:

- Drives the definition, implementation and maintenance of Lonza’s global transfer pricing strategy for all division and develops, implements and maintains global transfer pricing policies and processes;
- Manages transfer pricing matters in relation to M&A (valuations, purchase price allocations, etc.) and internal restructurings;
- Provides guidance and direction on transfer pricing at all levels of the organization; presents transfer pricing updates to senior stakeholders (incl. finance committees and divisional leadership);
- Defines operational transfer pricing processes (intercompany price setting, monitoring and adjusting), and supports and supervises the operational transfer pricing team in executing such processes and selects and implements technology solutions for transfer pricing, together with the operational transfer pricing team;
- In cooperation with regional tax directors and other finance functions, manages transfer pricing controversies (tax audits, litigation, Advance Pricing Agreements);
- Leads a small team of transfer pricing experts.

Key requirements:

- Master degree in Economics, Finance or Law-10+ years of experience in transfer pricing, preferably both in advisory and inhouse roles
- Ability to think and act strategically while being able to execute on operational deliverables
- Leadership skills
- Excellent numerical, writing and Excel skills-Strong analytical skills as well as communication and influencing abilities
- Familiarity with transfer pricing technology solutions is of advantage
- Qualification as certified tax expert, certified public accountant or similar professional diploma is a plus
