Switzerland Tourism is the marketing organization for the national and international promotion of Switzerland as a vacation, travel and convention destination. Each day, the 280 employees at our Zurich headquarters and in 36 offices in 23 markets use innovative and unconventional means to market Switzerland as an especially attractive and diverse travel destination.

For our office in New York we are looking for an experienced and motivated professional with an outgoing personality and autonomous working style to fill this vacant management position, reporting to the Director North America.

Your area of responsibility
  • Conceptualize, execute, optimize and report integrated consumer-facing campaigns, special promotions and events in North America focusing on selected personas
  • Collaborate closely with destination, transport and strategic partners as well as the marketing teams at head office to incorporate their key messages
  • Pitch to stakeholders
  • Key account management for several Swiss partners and head office teams
  • Budget responsibility for C&A department
  • Oversee a team of three, including two interns and a Marketing Project Manager
  • Build and maintain a network of industry contacts in both North America and Switzerland
  • Keep abreast of marketing and travel industry trends in North America
  • Create high-quality reports for external and internal stakeholders
Our Expectations
  • Swiss nationality is required with no past working history in the US
  • Profound marketing skills including digital and social marketing, and minimum five years experience as a senior marketing professional in the services sector
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Good knowledge of German and French
  • Experience in tourism and destination marketing and knowledge of Switzerland's travel and tourism industry
  • Affinity for the US and Canada
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-powered environment
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills, a team player across departments
  • Cosmopolitan, flexible and dynamic with proven leadership and management skills
  • Responsible, accountable and measurable in all activities
