What we will deliver
We focus on the development of a proprietary pipeline of wellness and healthcare products, with a specific focus on highly differentiated products that address unmet medical and consumer needs.
By leveraging our unique and enabling R&D capabilities, we are building a pipeline that includes inhalable medicines, nicotine replacement therapies (NRT), and consumer wellness products.
About the role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will also act as a co-pilot to the assigned VFP Categories, commercial, and R&D teams to build and expand the categories and drive value for the business by providing timely and accurate financial analysis to support decision making.
Our Consumer Health, Nicotine Replacement Therapies, Cannabinoid, and Inhaled Therapeutics are the key pillars of Vectura Fertin Pharma (VFP) Wellness and Healthcare strategy. Given the exciting global expansion plans for these categories, this role has been created to support the Head of Business Planning to develop effective performance tracking and provide financial governance by ensuring investments are deployed appropriately.
Principal Accountabilities
• Taking full ownership of the assigned VFP Categories business cases - a financial projection of the sales, cost of goods sold, and operating costs, CAPEX investments by country/market.
• Reviewing and challenging business case assumptions to ensure robustness of the financial projections, perform scenario/sensitivity analyses and identify risks and opportunities.
• Working closely with Category Lead & business team to execute the planned activities, identify problems and solutions whilst monitoring costs and adherence to budget.
• Undertaking all necessary financial analysis to support and challenge business team to optimise financial performance and drive optimal investment decisions in order create value and achieve the strategic objectives of VFP.
• Working collaboratively with Business Planning Manager to prepare Long Range Plan and cashflow projections for annual goodwill impairment testing exercise for submission to PMI.
• Preparing budgets / rolling forecasts for the category and perform variance analysis of actuals against forecast working in close collaboration with Controlling team and Business Planning Senior Manager.
• Supporting preparation of management reporting information (Quarterly Earnings presentations, management reports on actuals, forecast and budget) to key stakeholders.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis.
• Effectively communicating financial results, key risks and opportunities and business updates to category lead and senior stakeholders.
• Embedding a culture of togetherness, ownership, curiosity and inclusion.
Education & Experience
• Reputable Bachelor's degree or higher, CFA or MBA desirable
• Qualified accountant with 5 years' post qualification experience working in a business partnering role or similar
• Experience of working in a multinational group is preferred
• Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
• Ability to build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally
• Experience of preparing 'Board ready' reporting and an ability to interpret data, present information and deliver key messages in a clear, concise and insightful manner
• A good understanding of USGAAP would be an advantage
• Strong business acumen, ability to deal with ambiguity and enjoys a fast-paced and agile environment
