About the role
Are you passionate about cryptocurrencies? Do you have your own wallet and are fascinated by crypto financial services built on decentralized infrastructure? Can you query a node and access on-chain data? If so, this is your opportunity to turn your hobby into a profession and help shape the crypto products of the future.
As a Crypto Product Owner and Protocol Specialist, you will be responsible for various crypto systems and their data sources such as nodes and indexers. The systems you oversee monitor crypto assets worth multiple billions of Swiss Francs across 80 different tokens on nearly 40 blockchains. You will define requirements and work closely with several IT teams during all phases of the product lifecycle. You will evaluate data sources like nodes or indexers and document the APIs for developers. Additionally, you will align the roadmap of your systems with other teams such as operations, reconciliation, custody, or staking, which rely on the on-chain data you provide.
You will have the following responsibilities
Evaluate data sources for our crypto systems. Analyse protocol-specific transaction data and define how to integrate them into a unified, protocol-agnostic format. Maintain the technical master data for our token universe. Work closely with IT development teams in scrum settings to deliver new features and support additional protocols. Verify deliveries from development teams and sign off on releases. Analyse issues related to the systems, coordinate with stakeholders, and find solutions. Support operations and other stakeholders with crypto-related questions.What you bring along?
A passion for crypto and a self-driven, open-minded personality with strong analytical skills for recognizing and solving problems efficiently. Solid knowledge of how cryptocurrencies and specific blockchain protocols work, with a willingness to delve deeper into the technology. The ability to query RPC endpoints and retrieve data from APIs. Experience with self-custody, including knowledge of seeds, private keys, and wallets. Experience in querying data using SQL and visualizing data in Power BI is a plus. Experience in the Swiss financial services industry and certifications in scrum, project management, business analysis, or requirements engineering are advantageous. Excellent language skills in English, with German being a plus.
