Relationship Manager Crypto Custody

My client is the leading institutional technology platform for The Open Network (TON), providing custody, staking and OTC services to institutional clients. As a member of the self-regulatory organization (SRO) VQF, the company’s commitment lies in upholding the utmost standards of quality, security, and compliance. My client exclusively collaborates with industry-leading companies for various aspects such as onboarding, developers, compliance, tax, legal, audit, and accounting. The founders have already made significant investments in the company and the development of Tonscan and is excited about the next step to strengthen and complement the existing team.
**Your role and responsibilities**:
- Client Relationship Management: White glove concierge service, nurture existing client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and immediately addressing any concerns or needs they may have. Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise in client relationships or sales processes
- Building the Department within the Start-Up: Take ownership of building and structuring the business development and relationship management department from the ground up. Define roles and responsibilities, establish processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure efficiency, consistency, and scalability as the department grows. Continuously evaluate and optimize the department's structure, processes, and resources to adapt to changing market dynamics and organizational needs
- Client Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and acquire new institutional clients within the crypto space
- Strategic Partnerships: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with other businesses or organizations that can help drive growth and expand the company's reach
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, and effectively manage the sales process from lead generation to closure
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, especially in the highly regulated crypto space
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare proposals, contracts, and other documentation as needed, and provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue projections
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market movements, and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities and threats
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and effectively communicate their value propositions to clients
- Custom Solutions: Work with clients to understand their specific needs and requirements and collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions
- Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network with potential clients and partners
- Feedback Loop: Gather feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to continuously improve products, services, and processes
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as product development, marketing, and customer support to ensure seamless client experiences
**Requirements**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German are essential for effective interaction with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial spirit: Strong stakeholder and task ownership, own the decision making process
- High Interest in Crypto, Blockchain, and Fintech: Demonstrated passion for and knowledge of the crypto, blockchain, and fintech industries, with a keen interest in staying updated on the latest trends, technologies, and developments
- Minimum 5 years of Industry Experience: Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development, relationship management, or related roles within the crypto, blockchain, or fintech industries, demonstrating expertise and success in driving growth and building relationships in institutional settings
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, contribute ideas, share expertise, and support colleagues in achieving common goals
- A background in either business (e.g., business administration, finance, banking) or technical (e.g., computer science, engineering) disciplines is preferred, providing a solid foundation for understanding both the business and technical aspects of the company's offerings
