THE ROLE

We are seeking a Legal Counsel for a leading financial services institution in Switzerland. The Legal Counsel will work closely with the General Counsel and other members of the legal team to address a broad range of legal matters. The successful candidate will actively support the review and drafting of legal documents, contribute to legal projects (including product development), and conduct legal research and analysis. Proficiency in both German and English is essential for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Draft contracts, internal memos, and legal assessments, including the legal review of marketing materials (initially under supervision)Provide legal support on cross-functional business projects, including advising on legal risks and regulatory implications of new initiatives, particularly in product developmentAddress legal questions and issues across a broad range of subject areas and with a focus on commercial contracting and credit lawPrepare legal submissions to authorities and courts, when requiredSupport the development of templates and standard legal documentsContribute to internal legal training and knowledge sharing, depending on experience and opportunity

 YOUR PROFILE
Degree in Law or equivalent); admission to the Swiss bar is preferred but not requiredInitial experience in private practice, an in-house legal department, with a focus on banking or the financial services industryNative-level proficiency in German (spoken and written) is required; good working knowledge of EnglishStrong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skillsProactive and reliable team player with a keen interest in financial services law and regulatory mattersHOW TO APPLY
