Location: Zurich, Switzerland

We are currently seeking a Legal Counsel for a global financial services company based in Switzerland. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the legal team in drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as providing legal guidance on matters associated with upcoming and ongoing transactions. The ideal candidate for this role should possess demonstrated expertise in M&A and must be fluent in English.

Responsibilities:
  • Support different elements of transactions, including structuring, due diligence, and coordinating signing and closing
  • Advise on a multitude of areas, including coordination of stakeholders, strategy, due diligence, and specific legal advice on issues that arise out of transactions
  • Participate in or coordinate due diligence and other integration activities
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on transaction documentation and due diligence
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements; collaborate with different business units and regional legal counsels
  • Provide necessary support to the Legal Head of M&A

     
Qualifications:
  • Experience in-house or at a law firm practicing corporate law within an international environment
  • Knowledge and experience handling matters in an international M&A environment; experience of international corporate and commercial law
  • Proven track record of leadership and project experience
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent drafting skills, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to think around a more nuanced and complex international setup
