Financial Services Legal Counsel

We are currently seeking Financial Services Legal Counsel to work with various Axiom clients across a range of industries but especially with leading financial services institutions in the Zurich area.

 Responsibilities:   

Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues across a broad range of areas to ensure policies and procedures align with applicable laws and regulations. Structure, review, and provide legal guidance on a wide range of finance services offerings and transactions, including consumer credit law, financial market law, banking matters, lending, and loans. Engage in the drafting, review, and negotiation of documents as needed, potentially for the launch of new financial products as well as the related review of marketing materials from a legal perspective.As needed, support the Board and Management Committees on a range of legal tasks and projects, including drafting internal policies, SLAs, governance documents, and contract templates. 

Qualifications:    

2 to 10 years of post-qualification legal experience gained in an in-house environment (directly, or as a law firm secondee), including experience within a bank or financial services institution. Openness to full-time, onsite roles in the Zurich area.  Strong academic credentials and post-qualification experience, ideally in a consumer banking, asset management, or fintech environment, and a great interest in the role of technology in the financial services industry.  Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally. Right to work in Switzerland and, ideally, qualified as a lawyer in Switzerland.  Business proficient English and fluency in German.
