**Your responsibility**
- Manage a portfolio of industrial property and engineering claims within your delegated level of authority - from notification through to closure
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of new claims and updates to existing claims
- Maintain overview of claims development and referral to senior management in accordance with department guidelines
- Guide more junior members of the claims team on smaller claims
- Ensure claims are properly investigated and recorded, including instructing external legal and technical experts where appropriate
- Advocate on behalf of Helvetia at claims meetings and settlement negotiations
- Determine correct liability in accordance with the insurance contract and authorize payment of claim
- Defend Helvetia's decision on liability with internal and external partners
- Communicate with Underwriting department on progress and outcome of claim and recommendations for future contracts
- Location: Zürich Stettbach or Basel and Flex-Office

**Your qualification **Minimum;
- Experience of industrial property, power, energy, or construction claims in international markets
- Excellent spoken and written English and good spoken and written German, any other European languages would be an advantage
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Self-reliant, patient, and adaptable
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Commitment to developing claims management knowledge

Advantageous;
- CII qualification, or similar
- Knowledge of claims management in the USA or Europe
- Industry, legal or accounting experience
