**Liability Insurance Manager**:

To support the continuous transformation of ABB, we are building the Group Insurance team at our headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. This role will assume primary responsibility for the Group Liability insurance program and further insurance lines e.g., Aviation and Marine liability. The mandate is to further develop the Group insurance programs by optimizing risk cover and minimizing external costs of risk.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Ensure efficient Group insurance programs transferring liability risks to insurers
- Provide insights and conduct data analysis in close cooperation with other team members
- Manage the complete process from risk identification to insurance placement in close cooperation with the placement broker covering: insurance strategy for third party liability risks, data collection, policy wording, tender and placement, premium allocation and policy implementation
- Monitor and manage the performance of Group insurers and placement brokers
- Manage major losses and claims recovery actions in close cooperation with other team members, loss adjusters and insurers
- Advise network brokers and Country Insurance Risk Managers on specific aspects of the Group Liability insurance programs
- Build constructive and robust relationships with service providers and other Functions
- Contribute to and selectively drive knowledge sharing and training initiatives

**Your background**:

- 7+ years work experience with multinational insurance programs gained as insurance underwriter, broker or insurance manager of multinational corporate
- Thorough technical skills and know-how of liability insurance solutions in Europe and the US
- Legal training or experience in liability claims management an advantage
- Able to extract essential information and to present complex cases clearly and succinctly to different stakeholder levels
- Advanced knowledge of other insurance lines an advantage
- Highly motivated team player, self-starter and able to work independently
- Excellent organizational skills with proven attention to detail
- Proficient with MS Office suite as well as excellent English required (written and spoken); German is an advantage
