If you like making a difference, we are the company for you Arxada is looking for a Head of Digitalization & Innovation located in Basel, Switzerland. The Head of Digitalization & Innovation guides the business into a cultural embracement of modern technology and to encourage operational change towards an innovative and progressive process excellence. The scope of responsibilities reaches from driving digitalization and innovation by combining research activities with design thinking and prototyping to leveraging existing initiatives. Moreover, it will also include the sourcing of external vendors required to complement innovation projects and leverage external expertise to scale. Within the duties of functional overarching guidance, you will develop an innovation strategy and roadmap in order to drive advancements in the fields of digitalization and innovation. Key responsibilities: - Build and lead a team of internal and external specialists - Responsible for the adoption of digital technologies across the business - Initiate digital initiatives and transformation projects - Develop innovation strategies for the business, labs, operations areas and support local sites in order to drive productivity improvements - Drive advancements in the field of automation towards Industry 4.0 - Assess and approach potentially emerging technologies and innovative ideas with special focus on creating new value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, services and processes. - Implement prototypes and PoV / PoC using agile and DevOps methodologies - Contribute to a comprehensive End-2-End Data Strategy - Define principles for the business wide knowledge management in close alignment with the data Management function - Interact with Business Process Experts including QC, R&D, Engineering, Data Engineering in order to transform data into action - Build an open, agile and innovative culture in Arxada that considers change as an opportunity - International travel activity up to 20% Key requirements: - Expertise in the fields of digitalization and innovation and drive towards change - Innovative and strategic thinking and interest in new technologies - Completed studies in business administration, (business) informatics or comparable qualifications with further education in digitalization and innovation - Strong team leading and interpersonal skills - Ability to build relationships - Ability to make qualitative decisions and set direction harnessing global diversity - Professional written and verbal communication in English - Ability to negotiate externally and internally at higher levels - Ability to develop short-term and long-term plans - Awareness and understanding of external business drivers - Experience in agile project management including SAFe or similar agile methodologies - Knowledge of Design thinking methodologies - Knowledge of the DevOps approach for scalability
