Arxada is looking for a Head of Quality & Lab Applications located in Basel, Switzerland.

As Head of Quality & Lab Applications you define, manage and lead a Team of Senior IT Quality, Lab and Scientific Data Application Managers. You are responsible for the Life Cycle Operating Model, Quality Applications Enterprise Architecture as well as Vendor Management and Relations. You actively engage with Stakeholders to ensure the system architecture meets the business expectations and drive an Industry 4.0 Digital Smart Lab Environment across the global Quality Network.

Key responsibilities:

- Build, manage and lead a Team of internal Senior IT Quality, Lab and Scientific Data Managers and external Service Providers
- Develop a long-term strategy in collaboration with the Business Leads to continuously rollout and harmonize the Quality Applications Enterprise Architecture
- Define and Manage the Life Cycle Operating Model ensuring alignment with the corporate strategy and enterprise architecture roadmap
- Single point of contact for all questions in IT and non-IT regarding the strategic direction of the global Quality and Lab Applications
- Responsible for Vendor Management and Vendor Relations concerning IT Quality, Lab and Scientific Data Applications
- Drive Industry 4.0 through Smart Lab Environment and Digitalization across the Quality Network and in collaboration with the Digital & Innovation Team
- Assure your Team provides Business Process Owners support with the translation of business requirements into lean and smart technical solutions
- Plan and coordinate projects to guarantee the efficient running of the Quality and Lab Environment
- Constantly exchange with Stakeholders and Business Sponsors to ensure the system architecture meets the business expectations
- Partnership with the Quality and Lab Heads
- Travel activity less than 10%

Key requirements:

- Strong team leading and interpersonal skills to create a trusting environment and maintain feedback culture
- Strong change management skills to successfully drive and manage change towards Industry 4.0
- Conceptual and forward-thinking mindset to proactively troubleshoot possible issues using new and innovative problem solving approaches
- Professional negotiation skills with external parties and internal management appropriate to the respective target group
- Experience in life science and chemical industry
- Knowledge in CSV and the latest relevant regulations
- Knowledge in GMP for quality assurance
- Hands-on knowledge in at least one of the systems LIMS, eQMS, SDMS or CDS
- Good understanding of business processes and the business concepts in use
- Ability to implement and document ongoing decisions
- Customer and service-oriented personality
- Completed studies in Quality, IT or Business Administration
- Certificate in project management (IPMA, Prince)
- Presentation and moderation skills
- Professional communication and writing in English
