The Director API Category will be responsible for leading a Procurement organization in support of approximately $100 to $200 million or more in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This spend is complex in nature and requires close collaboration with key business stakeholders, critical supplier leadership and other segment / functional leadership. The Director API Category will identify, develop, and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy consistent with the business strategy and requirements. The position must plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets within the balanced and operational scorecards, ensuring performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence. The Director API Category will provide Global and Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category strategy development, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing key supplier relationships. The role must connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.

**Director API Category (f/m/d), Location: Zug (primary), Beerse, Titusville**

The Director API Category’s scope of responsibilities include:

- Develop and drive the Procurement vision of transforming healthcare with innovative supplier solutions
- Interface directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost
- Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
- Escalate issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization

**Qualifikationen**
- Master’s degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences) is required
- An advanced degree (MBA, PhD, etc.) is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- A minimum of 10 - 12 years of related work experience required
- Strong leadership and people management skills required
- Ability to lead, shape and drive a diverse, multicultural and virtual team.
- Proven track record of negotiation skills and expertise
- Position requires a high degree of skills in decision-making, problem-solving, customer focus, results orientation and communication
- Proven ability to develop strategic direction and track record of strategy implementation
- High degree of intellectual curiosity and out-of-the-box thinking abilities
- Comfortable with change and uncertainties
- Ability to create a culture of innovation
- Strong strategic thinking - extract industry and category knowledge to anticipate and prepare for the future
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
