The Director, Advanced Therapies Procurement will be responsible for leading a Procurement organization of 5-6 resources in support of approximately $300MM or more in spend for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This position will be responsible for global EM and critical Direct Materials suppliers which bring unique capabilities to Janssen’s advanced therapies' platform. The category and spend are highly sophisticated in nature and require a close collaboration with key stakeholders within the business. Many of the innovative suppliers are early phase growth and require a supplier development mentality to support our scale. This individual will identify, develop and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy as well as the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence.

They will provide Global and Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category strategy, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing key supplier relationships. The position must craft, connect and lead resources to deliver on key projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and drive the Procurement vision for, with and through the stakeholder community
- Identify emerging needs within a specific technology platform or platforms and develop the vision, strategy and implementation plan that will effectively meet the long range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J
- Lead supply base assessment and supplier segmentation; Assess global supplier footprint
- Perform analysis such as comparative analysis, rationalization analysis, sourcing decisions and cost optimization identification analysis; Perform market intelligence analysis for current and emerging market movement trends
- Lead strategic sourcing process; Understand long range requirements of business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment; Develop and implement sourcing strategy
- Develop and lead price and cost initiatives; Prepare and implement RFQs for highly complex sourcing decisions; Conduct negotiations with key suppliers
- Collaborate directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of J&J’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation and cost
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
- Conduct Top-to-Top meetings with key strategic suppliers that include comprehensive supplier performance management and review
- Advance issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization
- Build and maintain relationships throughout J&J that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of efficient approaches and solutions

**Qualifications** Education**:

- A Bachelor's degree is required with a preference of study in a business, life sciences or related field
- MBA is preferred

**Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:

- A minimum of 10 years relevant experience is required
- Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (Spend Management, Category Management, Sourcing and Supplier Management)
- Strong leadership, vison setting, communication, influencing, collaboration and talent development skills are required
- Able to prioritize requests, and propose effective cost/customer service alternatives
- Ability to show judgment in developing innovative approaches and resolving issues
- Strong project and change management capabilities with the ability to set strategy direction
- Strong business and finance competence
- Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present sophisticated information
- Ability to continuously improve the organization

**Preferred**:

- Education - CPSM, CSCP, CPIM, PMP, or other certification
- Multi-county and Multi sector experience preferred with expe
