We bring together the best minds and pursue the most promising science. **Overview** The Director, Global Category Leader, Sales & Distributor Services will be responsible for $350MM spend in supporting approximately $52B in global revenue for Janssen Pharmaceutical Company in Johnson and Johnson. This category is highly complex in nature and require strong engagement & alignment with key regional senior business leaders, critical supplier leadership. This individual will identify, develop, implement category strategy & drive compliance in the respective regions. Plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, and service and compliance adherence. This role will provide Global and Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category leadership such as category strategy development & adherence, building trusted relationships with senior business leadership and managing key supplier relationships. The position must shape, connect and leverage Agile procurement resources to deliver on key projects. **This role can be in Zug (Switzerland), Beerse (Belgium), Prague (Czech Republic), Wokingham (United Kingdom) Other major European J&J locations will be considered.** **Further responsibilities and duties are** - Determine the Janssen business needs globally in the category and develop Procurement strategies to advance those priorities. - Identify industry trends that Procurement must build into its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the Janssen business. - Identify the opportunities by thorough total cost, GTN assessment, and build business case of change product route-to-market and create incremental value to both top line and bottom line. - Partner with different global sub-category leads and regional Agile team for RTM business case creation, and project implementation. - Lead major strategic service partner negotiations for the project has big revenue impact for Janssen business. - Coordinate with Janssen Procurement regional heads, and where appropriate directly with senior business leaders, to ensure alignment with regional business strategies. - Experience working in a global environment and interacting with teams across multiple countries and multi-culture. - Shape performance targets for the Janssen Procurement organization in the role’s areas of responsibility and ensure target achievement. - Raise issues that may impact the Global Procurement organization. **Qualifications**: - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent. - Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare or similarly complex. - Strong business acumen - the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the regional business leaders. - Strong financial acumen-the ability to identify the opportunities via GTN and P/L assessment. - Influencing skills - the ability to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal. - Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level, as well as with peer’s Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives. - Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus (spend management, category management and supplier management). - Strong project and change management capabilities. - Demonstrated learning agility, and the ability to improve both yourself and the people around you. - High level of proficiency with core Procurement processes/skills (e.g., Category management, supplier management, business engagement, sourcing, contracting, supply market analysis, financial analysis, procurement excellence, etc.). - High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community. - Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of stakeholders (e.g., business, Procurement LT, Global Services); has "presence". - Proven track record in attracting and developing talent. - Prior successes in major change role as both architect and leading implementation. - Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams
