We are looking for an experienced program manager to join **Oracle Labs** to work on a new exciting and high-impact project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Owning and drive the planning and implementation of programs and projects
- Shaping Oracle's open source strategy
- Cross-team coordination, ensuring communication and removing blockers
- Establishing goals, schedules, and milestones and ensuring meeting them
- Identify and nurture strategic relationships with open-source contributors and 3rd parties
- Working with corporate developer relations and product teams to establish Oracle's presence in the developer community
- Define and implement end-to end process for Oracle projects to go open source
- Work on automating open source policies and guidelines
- Design best practices for open source developer relations, documentation and contributions management
- Working with various stakeholders to improve existing processes and workflows

**Skills and qualifications**:
**Basic qualifications**
- Excellent written & spoken English
- 5+ years of experience working in tech field as a program manager, community manager or developer relations manager
- Previous experience running developer relations or community advocacy programs, preferably open source
- Understanding of software development process and common blockers, CI/CD, GitHub
- Hands-on experience with one of popular programming languages, preferably Java
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Highly organized with an ability to manage tasks, teams, and cross-functional collaboration
- Able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in technical writing, working with JIRA and Confluence

**Prefered qualifications**
- Relationships in prominent open source communities would be a plus
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated influencing skills, with proven ability to handle multiple stakeholders

**Detailed Description and Job Requirements**

Work as part of a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will define product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
