**Global Technology Manager (flexible location)**:

In this role you will be responsible to ensure the future-proof technological leadership of Motion Drive Products division by scouting the technology trends, fostering the innovation culture within the organization, defining and managing technology/research roadmap and project portfolio and helping to develop the competences to match both defined and anticipated skills needed. You will report to Global R&D Manager. This role is open globally, but location is set in R&D office as Finland (Helsinki), US (New Berlin), Germany (Mannheim or Heidelberg), China (Beijing or Nanjing), Estonia (Tallinn), India (Bengaluru).

**Your responsibilities**:

- Responsible for conceptualization, identification, exploration, and implementation of world-leading technologies, products, and systems within and across divisions/business areas and in line with the defined division’s strategical goals.
- Contribute to the strategic direction for R&D and technology and develops, presents, and evolves strategic technology/product/system roadmaps.
- Act as senior global spokesperson for the appropriate level of business management as well as for external parties, represent the technology function with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Stay on top of strategic technology, standard, customer, and market developments to provide guidance to business management.
- Seek new opportunities and solutions actively through collaboration internally (e.g., through research centers) and externally.
- Support and challenge local units to create an innovative culture.
- Guide, motivate, and coach teams and individuals, direct and indirect and ensure information flow and transfer of technology and knowledge.

**Your background**:

- Master’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- 10+ years of proven track record in leading technical R&D positions
- Deep technical knowledge in one of the defined core technologies for Drive Products
- Good overall understanding of the product development related processes and manufacturing technologies
- Possess a good understanding of macroeconomic trends and opportunities in relation to the R&D function.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
- Ability to influence and communicate with people
- Fluent written and spoken English
