Tax Technology Manager - Digital Tax Transformation

Your contribution to KPMG

Collaborate as an active member of a multi-disciplinary team to execute a comprehensive tax technology strategy, with a primary focus on digital tax transformation

Drive an active Data Management approach be developing and implementing a data product framework for tax-related purposes

Design and implement tailor-made tools with the help of technical enabler (e.g. MS Power Platform, ServiceNow or Azure OpenAI), to enhance tax operations and automate key processes

Leverage global tools and technologies to build digital assets tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients, optimizing their tax systems and workflows

Identify opportunities for process automation and delivery optimization, and lead initiatives to streamline tax operations through the use of cutting-edge technologies

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to tax technology and digital transformation.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of existing tax technology solutions and recommend improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy

Participate in Product Management responsibilities for the digital services supporting Tax & Legal business

Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams, ensuring smooth integration and utilization of tax technology platforms

Advise clients in the areas of efficient tax compliance, the realignment of their operating model and their tax risk management, with the help of tax technology

Work with our internal client teams to understand overall operational, data, and information requirements around our clients' tax processes, including documenting current process and organization, analyzing tax data, calculations, and reporting requirements, while understanding current technology environment

This is what makes you successful

Bachelor's degree in science, technology engineering, mathematics and economics

Proven experience in the digital transformation of established businesses

First experience within a consulting environment

In-depth knowledge of data management principles and practices, with the ability to design and implement data product frameworks and integrated data hubs

Experience in leveraging established tools (e.g. MS Power Platform, ServiceNow or Azure AI) to drive automation and improve tax-related processes is of advantage

Familiarity with agile, product management and DevOps disciplines used by digital services delivery teams

Experience in Tax Technology is an asset, as well as some understanding of global tax requirements, with the ability to tailor digital assets to comply with regional tax laws

Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies, preferably Azure, for efficient and secure data storage and management, is an asset

Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver results within specified timelines

Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and high service orientation towards clients

Continuous learning mindset, staying updated with the latest tax technology trends and emerging tools
