As the Group Head of ARIC GBS (Global Business services) you will be reporting to the Head of Accounting and Internal Controls of the ABB Group. The Assurance, Risk, and Internal Controls (ARIC) organization executes on the mandate of second line of defense by providing oversight, expertise, advice, and value add enhancements to the business. The GBS organization provides operational and expert finance services to ABB’s businesses. In this role you will lead the ARIC GBS organization to deliver high quality services in an effective and efficient manner and you will represent GBS in the global ARIC leadership team.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Directly manage a diverse team of internal control managers operating in ABB’s GBS finance hubs and front offices globally.
- Drive the standardization and simplification of processes, controls, and related systems in collaboration with GBS leadership and process owners and within the framework of ABB’s finance transformation activities.
- Support GBS management and process owners in the design, development and maintenance of effective risk and control management practices including assessment of deficiencies and their underlying root causes as well as development of sustainable remediation plans.
- Provide advice, expertise, and training to the GBS finance community to increase awareness on the importance of risks and controls, to ensure successful execution of controls, and to increase understanding of roles and responsibilities within the control environment.
- Lead the global centralization of segregation of duties activities to build efficiency and standardization to the process.
- Represent GBS finance with peers in the Business Areas internal controls community to establish consistency across the Group.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with Business Area and Corporate finance leadership.
- Act as first point of contact for the group external auditors on topics related to global GBS internal control design and execution.

**Your background**:

- University level education in Finance / Accounting. Masters preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of experience managing teams in finance, audit or internal controls related areas.
- Experience working with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
- Professional qualification equivalent to CPA/CIA/CISA is an advantage.
- Experience working with virtual teams and shared service centers, high level of attention to detail, superior analytical and organization skills, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment is needed.
- Good understanding of risk management principles and working experience in process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with personnel at all organizational levels and contributing to a team.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills in English.
