Global Category Manager Facility

**What's the role?**:
We spend over one hundred million francs on, in and related to our physical facilities across the planet. Offices, stores, plants and more. Your role is to manage this sourcing category and its strategic sourcing projects. Ultimately, you plot the path and lead the execution to bring us to best-in-class sourcing in the facilities category. You want more? We have bold sustainability targets at Hilti. You also steer sustainability projects across all our Procurement Indirect categories.

**What does the role involve?**:
Working together with business functions and our procurement experts across the world, you will develop a roadmap and define individual sourcing projects for the category. This reflects our sustainability, operational excellence and financial ambitions while of course fulfilling modern functional needs. You proactively monitor the external environment and translate relevant trends into the roadmap and organization.

Together with your stakeholders you will drive and influence sourcing projects and ongoing activities along the full procurement cycle to improve total value for Hilti. Your work includes developing sourcing strategies, facilitating and leading sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, tactical purchasing plus establishing and maintaining supplier relationships. Your work covers global, regional and local suppliers. You will build an internal global community for the facilities category to identify and share best practices, thereby contributing to a high-performing global team. On top, you closey collaborate with our global sustainability team to achieve our CO2 science-based targets.

**What you need is**:

- A Master's degree in economics, industrial, and/or mechanical engineering plus a min. of 3 years of professional experience in procurement (energy industry is a plus).
- Effective communication skills, including structuring clear presentations and distilling critical messages for different stakeholders.
- Evidence of a strategic mindset, balanced by hands-on behavior in the present and acting as a strategic partner by influencing/interacting with key stakeholders across a matrix organization.
- Proficiency in numerical analysis and working with spreadsheets.
- A proactive approach to identifying external trends and acting as a change agent.
- Fluent in both German and English.
