**POSITION OBJECTIVES**:

- The Director Global Pricing & Tender Management develops industry-leading operational pricing and reporting capabilities to drive visibility and insights on pricing trends, inform key strategic pricing decisions and their impact on Takeda’s revenues for the Vaccine Business Unit
- The incumbent leads the development and implementation of the global VBU tender management process in close collaboration with VBU S&OP, Regional BUs and the LOCs.
- Establish, develop and leverage new pricing / tender analytics approaches, platforms and tools
- Lead all pricing operations activities to ensure adherence to the global VBU pricing policies and procedures, and manage key projects across the organization
- Provids Business Analytics support for special projecs from Business Development and / or other stakeholders
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Leads VBUs qualitative and quantitative pricing analysis, share insights as a result of the analysis and provide robust recommendations to internal stakeholders, while ensuring superior customer satisfaction by delivering high end quality outputs to local, regional and global teams
- Drive strong pricing and financial discipline through competitive pricing landscape, analogue assessments and key pricing assumptions for inline and early assets to inform price forecasting
- Collaborate with the Global Value Access and Health Economics team to ensure that the appropriate insights and perspective with regards to pricing dynamics are factored into strategies and tactics
- Drive the development of pricing models, leveraging complete understanding of different pricing approaches in different countries, value-based pricing and price negotiations.
- Leverage strong analytical capabilities and experience in analyzing complex situations to develop analysis from multiple sources, synthesize into clear and concise information that is responsive to business needs
- Lead and drive the VBU Pricing Committee
**EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics (or a combination of natural science & economics or similar) required, Master’s degree or an advanced degree is preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry or consulting
- Experience in project management across a range of functions, seniority and geography
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of one or more pricing & reimbursement systems in key markets
- Exceptional skills with regards to Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) and management of large datasets. Experience with reporting tools (MS PowerBI) is a plus.
- Knowledge of the impact of international reference pricing, cross-indication referencing and affordability considerations and solutions (e.g. tiered pricing), managed entry schemes
- Ability to assimilate pricing and reimbursement insights to inform future pricing / tender decisions

**TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS**:
Able to drive to or fly to various meeting sites, including overnight trips, up to 20%. Some international travels will be required.
