Senior Accountant Suisse-Expert or CPA

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial data management, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, inventory, and trial balance.
  • Reporting: Coordinate the accounting department's month-end close activities to meet corporate accounting and reporting deadlines. Prepare Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement) for all entities of the group.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial data management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including local GAAP and tax laws. Manage Swiss VAT & Tax submissions for multiple entities.
  • Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors to facilitate both interim and year-end audits, including the finalization of financial statements for the group.
  • Process Improvement: Be an active player in the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Swiss CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software experience (Microsoft Dynamics Nav version 2018 and higher) and Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and French is essential.
