Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, inventory, and trial balance.
  • Reporting: Coordinate the accounting department's month-end close activities to meet corporate accounting and reporting deadlines. Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement) for all entities of the group.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial data management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, and verify that controls are carried out by the accounting department in accordance with the internal control system. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including local GAAP and tax laws. Manage Swiss VAT & Tax submissions for multiple entities.
  • Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors to facilitate both interim and year-end audits, including the finalization of financial statements for the group.
  • Process Improvement: Be an active player in the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Financial Expertise: Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential for senior accountants.
  • Tax Knowledge: Expertise in tax laws and regulations relevant to Suisse jurisdiction.
  • Audit Experience: Experience in coordinating and participating in internal and external audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Certification: Swiss CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software experience (Microsoft Dynamics Nav version 2018 and higher) and Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
  • Language: Fluency in English and French is essential.
  • Culture: Experience in working in a fast-paced and multicultural corporate environment.
