Cardiovascular and Metabolism Discovery Matrix Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Discovery Lead to join our Pharmaceutical Research and Development organization in Basel, Switzerland. As a key member of our Cardiovascular and Metabolism team, you will be responsible for leading the discovery of innovative treatments for metabolic diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Act as an operational champion providing key guidance and oversight in the deployment and execution of the CVM discovery strategy
- Serve as a key operational member of the CVM discovery team working closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the pRED discovery technology ecosystem
- Work collaboratively to continually evolve the CVM discovery strategy by innovating new approaches, staying up to date with the scientific literature, actively engaging with internal and external communities, and continuously evaluating new technologies and biology in the CVM space
- PhD degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field with minimally 5 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry or biotech sector
- Established a track record of scientific accomplishments and successful collaborations in the CVM space
- Proven track record of engagement with senior leaders and key stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong awareness of the emerging trends and technology developments across the drug discovery arena
